Here they are on the right only 2 months later. It is amazing how big they got in such a short time.
Originating in China in ancient times, White Pekin Ducks were brought to the Western World in the middle 1800’s. Their fine meat quality and egg laying ability quickly made them the first choice of American duck growers. Both the male and female are creamy white in color, yellow skinned, and very large breasted. The males carry a fall weight of 10 to 11 pounds and the females weigh 8 to 9 pounds.

You can freely substitute duck eggs for chicken eggs in cakes, pies, cookies, custards, etc. Because the whites of duck eggs have more protein than those of chicken eggs, they will whip up higher when beaten and create more loft in cakes. This means lighter, higher cakes. But since the yolks are so rich, your cakes may also be richer with duck eggs.

HEALTH BENEFITS: Besides being great to bake with, duck eggs are sought by cancer patients. Apparently, duck eggs are alkaline (basic), chicken eggs are acidic. Cancer cells don’t thrive in a basic environment, so some cancer patients adjust their body’s environment by eating alkaline foods like duck eggs

	I currently have quail hatching eggs in my incubators. If you need high qaulity jumbo pekin duck hatching eggs we have eggs for sale at our egg page which we created for all of our hatching, eating and pickled eggs. Duck eggs are in short supply this time of year.

We have previously had a few Khaki Campbell Ducks that we hatched. We were going to use them as a great source of duck eggs. But someone bought them all. So we have recently bought a flock from a local duck breeder. We got the whole flock of Khaki Campbells. They just started laying eggs. I have about 10 ducks left in the flock. There are way more Khaki Drakes than Khaki Hens. I have NO Khaki Campbell duck eggs for sale for hacthing OR eating. Price is determined by supply and demand on these. I am getting many eggs as it warm and sunny at Furbelow Farms. I will be adding a Khaki Campbell duck page soon.
